We are proud of the diversity our students bring to William Colenso College. We welcome students from all over the world as well as those from Napier and the surrounding region. Their stories offer an insight into our culture. This is a culture that places high value on individual and team success. It also values and encourages pride in diversity.
Over the years we have had a number of students from Austria. Katharina Frik was here in 2015 and she especially loved being part of the catering academy.

I was lucky to take part in a school trip with Colenso College international students for four days.
ANJA FUNK The first time I saw the New Zealand coast with the beautiful green hills I just knew that it was the right decision to come to this country. I had a great welcome from my host family.
MIREI TANAKA Hello! My name is Mirei and I come from Japan. I decided to study abroad because I like English songs and I was interested in English. For the first month I felt out of place because I didn’t have any kiwi friends.

ADA CHAN My name is Ada Chan. I came from Hong Kong to study in New Zealand when I was sixteen years old. I studied at William Colenso College in Napier for two years and finished my high school course in 2003.

Tsai Yi-Kai attended WCC from 2015-2016, Tsai was involved in all aspects of school life and was awarded Dux at senior prizegiving in 2016.
